Thanks for sharing this heartfelt piece of good writing, Sherry. It touched home with me: I went into teaching--the family job--in my mid-50s. My motto being "Teach by example, Learn through experience", except with writing and designated times for art and performance, I mostly felt like an imposter. My master's thesis was on gardening--which had been my livelihood for nearly twenty years--as a focus for learning, but I let my principal put the kibosh on that. The whole discipline thing undid me, and to my shame I can clearly remember yelling and glaring at the class...But there were good moments, students I'll never forget...Anyway, this was inspiring, especially the beginning and the amazing image of bubbling energy.

Question: With aphantasia, how do you experience a dream if not with images?
Good Question! I will address that a bit in a post pretty soon
