Oh Laura, I am so sorry about the loss of your brother. I hope you can feel some comfort amid so many sad and complicated feelings. I've been through the death of my brother, too. Sending love and healing through the grief. Also, thanks for asking about my paintings. Yes, I love to see them go to others who resonate with them. I create them digitally, then have them printed on stretched canvas. "Effervescence" is already printed and available as 40X30". It can be printed in smaller sizes with that same proportion. Take care...or as they say on 'Endeavor', 'Mind how you go.'
Sherry, you are my teacher hero. I came to the game late--in my fifties--and was astounded at how difficult the work was. I did my best, but almost always felt behind the curve...Effervescence es my new favorite. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Tom...yeah, ‘teaching’ is a catchall term for a pretty massive psycho /sociological/philosophical activity with as many viewpoints, as there are individuals involved. There is teaching, and there is learning, but there is no absolute conclusion about who is doing what! I seemed to be able to be comfortable as long as there were kids to hang out with....something knocked my socks off every day and kept me amazed.
Good Morning Madame Killam - LOVE “Effervescence” (Do you sell your art?)
I also liked your poem, and could relate to it very well, on August first my brother died and that poem holds true.
